A Family Brunch at La Grande Orange Cafe

If you are thinking about dining in Pasadena California, Le Grande Orange is the place to eat. We dined at Le Grande Orange for lunch over the weekend as part of our #PasadenaStaycation review and we really enjoyed the hospitality and dining experience.  La Grande Orange is a unique restaurant where food is made to order and no ingredients are frozen or come from a can – imagine that!  The staff were very accommodating and the service remarkable. We loved the lively Sunday brunch atmosphere and the decor of the restaurant as well. Valet parking is provided out front or there is ample meter parking around the neighborhood.

La Grande Orange Cafe’s Dishes

My husband ordered a sushi grade tuna burger topped with avocado and spicy aioli and a side of french fries. Although initially a bit hesitant about ordering a tuna burger over a traditional beef burger, I have to say he was very happy with this dish.

I ordered their rotisserie chicken and it was probably the most flavorful I’ve ever had! I am a huge chicken fan and I loved it! A good piece of advice on this order is that the serving size was good enough to share with both my husband and daughter. So, you can certainly take it to go too!

La Grande Orange Cafe Caters to the Kids

Most restaurants offer crayons or an activity paper with puzzles as something to keep the kids busy and entertained. However, La Grande Orange Cafe takes it a step further by giving the kids Wikki Stix, which are twistable sticky sticks that allow them to create their own artistic objects. This kept our daughter busy the entire time from when we sat down to when we got our food.

The menu at La Grande Orange offers a great variety of choices for parents and kids. We did a little research before we arrived and knew to ask for the kids mac and cheese, which was not on the main menu. The mac and cheese was served with fruit and french fries and quite tasty! It’s always a refreshing treat when you can dine at a restaurant that serves fresh ingredients – even mac and cheese!

The tasty kids meal and fun Wikki Stix were a hit with our daughter, which made the experience all the more wonderful.
