Hotel Indigo Del Mar is a Boutique Hotel Good for Families

Hotel Indigo Del Mar is an upscale boutique hotel situated in one of San Diego’s greatest locations of the city. Near the sandy beaches of Del Mar, Hotel Indigo Del Mar offers comfort, ocean views, local beaches and shopping. On our recent visit to this property, we enjoyed our overnight stay with our family and had a great time visiting shops and the beautiful sunsets.

Upon arriving, we noticed a really well decorated and modern lobby where that you could certainly enjoy during your stay. This well adorned lobby sat next to the Oceanview Bar and Grill, overlooked the main pool and you could even see the ocean in the distance. The staff at Indigo Del Mar were also very friendly and attended to our needs and answered all of our questions.

The Rooms at the Hotel Indigo Del Mar

Our room was very spacious with enough room for my daughter to practice her gymnastics routine. For families traveling with children and requiring space for a pack and play, there is ample room. The room in which we stayed in had a small kitchen complete with stove and small refrigerator, utensils and coffee pot. It also had two stools where the kids could easily have a quick snack or a meal. Having a kitchen in a hotel room makes a big difference for families as we can have drinks and snacks available when the kids need them or cook a small meal.

Our beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean. That is such a huge part of my expectations for any property. My daughter thought it was one of the most relaxing showers she had ever been in. And in this comfy bathroom, the hotel provided us with complimentary Aveda products. I enjoyed these products as most places provide you with generic products of less quality. A big thank you to the hotel management on that one!

Another really cool feature of this property was that directly outside our back door, we had a private patio with ocean views in the distance and just a few feet from their second pool. It made for great and easy access to the pool for our daughter and a great place to sit an enjoy the sunset.
